Proof of Income
For employed or self-employed applicants, submit any of the following:
- Income Tax Return (ITR) or Certificate of Compensation Payment and Tax Withheld or similar documents
- Certificate of Employment or Employment Contract
- Payslip
- BIR Form 2316 or similar document
- Proof of pension
- Latest 3 months copy of Bank Statement of Account (SOA) from another bank
For foreign applicants, also submit a valid passport or Alien Certification of Registration (ACR) and any of the following:
- ACR-I-Card with Visa status “Permanent”, otherwise, should be valid for more than 1 year
- Visa and Work Permit/Alien Employment Permit (AEP) with validity of more than 1 year
- Special Resident Investors Visa (SRIV)
- Special Resident Retirement Visa (SRRV)
- For the top 2000 companies, an employment contract or letter from company HR printed on company letterhead with name, position, and confirmation of term.

1. How do I redeem my UnionBank PlayEveryday rewards?
You can redeem your PayEveryday rewards easily through the UnionBank Online app.
Open UB mobile app > Access your PlayEveryday account > Click Redeem > Pick your reward > Input the details > Click Proceed.
2. Do UnionBank credit card points expire?
UnionBank credit card points do not expire as long as the account remains active and in good standing.
The only exceptions are the UnionBank Miles+ Regular or Platinum Credit Card, which expires after 5 years.
3. What valid IDs are accepted when applying?
To apply for a UnionBank credit card, you can submit one of these primary IDs:
- Passport
- Philippine National ID (PhilID)
- Driver’s License
- SSS ID / Unified Multipurpose ID (UMID)
- GSIS e-Card / GSIS ID (Membership ID)
- Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) ID
- IBP ID
- NBI Clearance (with official receipt)
- School ID (for students only – with registration form and birth certificate)
If you don’t have those, you can also submit any two of these secondary IDs:
- Senior Citizen ID
- Government Office / GOCC ID
- Company ID
- PhilHealth ID
- Voter’s ID
- Postal ID
- OFW ID / OWWA ID
- TIN ID
- Seaman’s Book
- Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) / Immigrant Certificate of Registration (ICR)
- National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) ID

4. Is there a minimum income requirement?
Yes, the minimum gross income requirement is ₱360,000 a year, or around ₱30,000 per month.
If you’re an existing cardholder from another bank, you may qualify through a fast-track application by submitting your latest credit card statement without the need for proof of income.
5. How long does it take to process the application?
You can receive your UnionBank credit card application result in as quick as a few hours or up to 14 days, depending on how complete your documents are, your mode of application, and the loads of other applications to be evaluated.
If you’re an existing UnionBank client with a good record, approval can be faster.
6. Is the UnionBank PlayEveryday credit card a NAFFL (No Annual Fee For Life) card?
No, the UnionBank PlayEveryday credit card comes with an annual fee of ₱1,500 for the principal cardholder and ₱750 for the supplementary cardholder.
Sometimes, UnionBank offers NAFFL or waived annual fee promos either through:
- Signing up during a promo campaign
- Spending a minimum amount within a given period (e.g., waive your annual fee if you spend 100x your AF during the current year)
- Special limited-time offers

7. Can I request a supplementary card?
Yes! You can request supplementary cards for family members, with the option to set individual spending limits. It’s a great way to consolidate rewards and manage shared expenses.
8. Where can I pay or settle my UnionBank PlayEveryday credit card bill?
Pay your credit card bill via UnionBank Online (website or app) to enjoy real-time posting.

Posting within 3 banking days:
- BPI Express Online/ATM

If you have a UnionBank deposit account, you can also schedule payments on your due date, either in full or minimum amount due, no need to issue checks or wait in line.
9. What is PayDirect and how do I use it?
PayDirect lets you pay directly to local bank accounts or e-wallets like GCash and Maya using your UnionBank credit card. It allows you to:
- Pay up to ₱200,000 per transaction, or up to ₱1 million/month
- Schedule one-time or recurring payments
- Track your transactions under Manage PayDirect in the app
Perfect for tuition fees, rent, supplier payments, or even household support.
10. How long is the interest-free period?
UnionBank offers up to 53 days of 0% interest, from your statement cut-off date up to your due date, as long as you pay your balance in full by the due date.
