The BPI Mastercard Holiday Shop Anywhere promo lets eligible cardholders earn up to Php 10,500 in eGCs (electronic gift certificates) by registering and spending on their card from November 6, 2026 to February 8, 2027. Up to Php 5,000 comes from accumulated spend, and up to Php 5,500 more comes from bonus rounds. In simple terms, the more you spend on a qualified card after registering, the bigger the gift certificate you can claim.

What is the BPI Mastercard Holiday Shop Anywhere promo?
It is a spend-and-earn promo for BPI Mastercard credit cards. You register, spend on your card anywhere (in-store or online, straight or Flexipay), and earn eGCs from partner merchants through the BPI Shop Anywhere eGC Hub, which is run by Giftaway. This year the hub sits inside the Missions section of the upgraded Oh My Deals! (OMD) app by BPI Cards.
The eGCs are not cash. Each one is tied to a specific merchant and is for one-time use. Only purchases made on or after your successful registration date and within the promo period count, so registering early matters.
Which BPI cards qualify for the promo?
Only the Principal Cardholder of an active account in good standing can join. Spend on supplementary cards linked to your account still counts toward your totals.
| Qualified (Mastercard) | Not qualified (Visa) |
|---|---|
| BPI Rewards Card, BPI Edge Card, BPI Gold Rewards Card, BPI Platinum Rewards Card, and Petron-BPI Card | BPI Corporate Card, Amore Cashback, Amore Platinum Cashback, BPI Signature Card, BPI Signature Wealth Card, Robinsons Cashback Card (Visa), BPI eCredit Card, BPI Omni Card, and BPI Free+ Card |
Note that the BPI eCredit Card and Robinsons Bank cards, which joined last year’s Holiday promo, are not on this year’s list.
How do you register for the promo?
There are two ways to register, and both are open for the whole promo period.
Option A. Upgraded Oh My Deals! app (Recommended- no promo code needed).
- Download or update the Oh My Deals! app by BPI Cards from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Log in with your BPI Online credentials.
- Search for “Mastercard Holiday Shop Anywhere,” or open the Missions section and tap the promo banner.
- Tap Join Now. A Successful Registration prompt gives you access to your eGC Hub.
Option B. SMS.
Text BPI MCREG followed by your unique promo code to 225687 (example, BPI MCREG 1234ABCD). BPI sends the code to your registered mobile number or email. You should get a confirmation by SMS or email. If nothing arrives within one hour, check the code, the format, and the number you texted, then try again by SMS or through the app.
Three reminders apply to both options. You need a BPI Online account to take part, because the eGC Hub is only reachable through the upgraded app. The mobile number or email you use must match BPI’s records, and a mismatch means updating them first (email by calling the bank’s hotline, mobile number at a branch) and waiting two banking days before registering. Finally, only the principal cardholder can register, and the promo code is unique to you.
How much can you earn from accumulated spend?
Your main reward depends on the highest spend tier you reach during the promo. Only single-receipt purchases of Php 1,000 or more count (Php 3,000 or more for Flexipay at merchant, where only the principal amount counts, not the monthly amortizations).
| Tier | Accumulated spend | eGC reward |
|---|---|---|
| Special Tier (select cardholders) | Php 10,000 to below Php 30,000 | Php 200 |
| Tier 1 (open to all) | Php 30,000 to below Php 50,000 | Php 500 |
| Special Tier (select cardholders) | Php 50,000 to below Php 100,000 | Php 1,000 |
| Tier 2 (open to all) | Php 100,000 to below Php 150,000 | Php 1,500 |
| Special Tier (select cardholders) | Php 150,000 to below Php 200,000 | Php 3,000 |
| Tier 3 (open to all) | Php 200,000 and up | Php 5,000 |
The Special Tiers are only for select cardholders. If you are one of them, your extra tiers appear in your eGC Hub under Missions. If you are not, the Tier 1, 2, and 3 rows apply to you, and as the table reads, the highest open tier you reach sets your reward.
You can only claim one tier. Once you claim and redeem a lower tier, you can no longer earn a higher one, even if your spend keeps growing. When you tap Claim Now, the app asks you to type “YES” to confirm that you understand this.
Using the published figures, the reward works out to about 1.67% of spend at the Tier 1 threshold, 1.5% at the Tier 2 threshold, and 2.5% at Tier 3. Tier 3 is clearly the best value per peso, but only if you would spend Php 200,000 anyway.
How do the bonus rounds work?
The bonus rounds add up to Php 5,500 more in eGCs. They unlock only after you reach Php 30,000 in accumulated spend. If you complete a round earlier, the reward simply waits until you hit that mark. Claiming a bonus reward does not affect your main reward, so the two are independent.
| Round | What you need to do | Platinum Rewards | Other cards |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Flexipay spend at merchant | One single-receipt installment purchase of Php 30,000 or more, in-store or online (SIP Loans via balance conversion and the Platinum 0% airline installment via SIP Loan are excluded) | Php 500 | Php 300 |
| 2. Category spend | Complete the number of qualified transactions (Php 1,000 minimum each) in the one category assigned to you | Php 500 | Php 300 |
| 3. Million Spender | Milestone 1 at Php 500,000 to below Php 1,000,000 | Php 1,000 for all qualified cards | |
| Milestone 2 at Php 1,000,000 to below Php 1,500,000 | Php 1,500 | ||
| Milestone 3 at Php 1,500,000 and up | Php 2,000 | ||
Round 2 is assigned to you. Each cardholder gets only one category, shown in the eGC Hub. The possible categories are Essentials (supermarket, fuel, and drugstores), eCommerce, Travel (airlines, lodgings, hotels, recreation, and transportation), and Dining and Eating Places. The number of transactions you need depends on the category. BPI’s examples are 10 for Essentials, 10 for eCommerce, 4 for Travel, and 7 for Dining. Essentials, Travel, and Dining are matched by the merchant’s MCC (merchant category code, a four-digit code assigned to each business). eCommerce is matched using BPI’s own transaction records.
Round 3 mirrors your main spend. The Million Spender tracker uses the same qualified transactions as your main accumulated spend, so there is nothing extra to do other than keep spending. Bonus rewards can only be redeemed for the Jollibee Food Group brands (Jollibee, Red Ribbon, Chowking, and Burger King), one per bonus round achieved, for a maximum of five bonus eGCs.
What is the most you can earn?
The “up to Php 10,500” headline applies to the BPI Platinum Rewards Card. These totals are my own sums of the published amounts, so treat them as a guide.
| Card | Full maximum | Without Million Spender |
|---|---|---|
| BPI Platinum Rewards | Php 10,500 | Php 6,000 (5,000 + 500 + 500) |
| Other qualified cards | Php 10,100 | Php 5,600 (5,000 + 300 + 300) |
The full maximum needs Php 1,500,000 in spend, so most cardholders will realistically aim for the right-hand column, which needs Php 200,000 in spend plus one Php 30,000 Flexipay purchase and the category challenge.
Which purchases count and which do not?
Qualified transactions include local retail purchases (straight), Flexipay at merchant, foreign currency purchases, online purchases, auto charge, and mail or telephone orders. Several categories are excluded.
- Cash advances, both local and international.
- Special Installment Plan (SIP) Loans such as balance transfer, credit-to-cash, and balance conversion.
- E-wallet and online payment transactions (GCash, Maya, PayPal, Coins.ph, GrabPay, and similar).
- Remittance, money transfers, stock and forex trading, securities, and stored value loads.
- Business transactions such as direct or multi-level marketing, wholesale and distribution, payment services, and professional services.
- Casino, gambling, lottery, quasi-cash, bail and bond payments, and political organizations.
- Redemptions of rebates or Real Thrill Rewards.
How do you track and redeem your eGCs?
- Open the Oh My Deals! app and go to Missions, then tap the promo banner to reach your eGC Hub. Your spend, bonus round progress, and rewards all appear here.
- When a reward is available, tap Claim Now. You can split a main reward across merchants (partial or full redemption), but once you finalize, that tier is locked in.
- Go to the Redemptions tab and tap Open Reward to see your eGC code and the merchant’s instructions. Redeemed eGCs also show in the app’s Wallet section.
Main rewards come in Php 500 eGCs (S&R uses Php 1,000), and the smaller Special Tier amounts may be issued differently. Merchant choices are grouped into dining (Din Tai Fung, Olive Garden, Burger King, Chowking, Pizza Hut, Jollibee, Red Ribbon), shopping (SM Gift Pass, Robinsons Department Store, National Bookstore, IKEA, H&M, Footlocker, Toys R Us), essentials (Puregold, S&R, Landers, Robinsons Supermarket, Watsons, Shell Go+), and eCommerce (ShopeePay, GrabFood, GrabCar, foodpanda, Klook, ZALORA, Autosweep, Easytrip). BPI highlights Ayala Malls, Jollibee, PriceLOCQ, Robinsons Supermarket, and Shopee as featured merchants. A transfer fee applies to eGCs used on ShopeePay.
Watch the expiry. Unredeemed eGCs are deactivated 60 days after they post, or 60 days after the promo end date, whichever comes first. BPI does not send expiry reminders, will not resend lost or expired eGCs, and a redemption cannot be cancelled or reversed. eGCs also cannot be used together with other ongoing merchant promos.
Is it worth it? Peso scenarios
Let’s say you hold a BPI Rewards Card and your household spends about Php 35,000 a month on groceries, dining, fuel, and online shopping. Over the roughly three-month promo window that comes to about Php 105,000, which lands in Tier 2 and earns Php 1,500. If your assigned Round 2 category is Essentials and you complete the required transactions on groceries, fuel, and drugstores, you add a Php 300 bonus eGC. That is Php 1,800 on spend you were already planning to make, or about 1.7%.
Now look at the Tier 3 jump. At Php 199,999 in spend, a cardholder on the open tiers earns Php 1,500. At Php 200,000 the reward is Php 5,000. Suppose your regular spend is Php 160,000 and you also have Php 40,000 of planned expenses, such as tuition or a refrigerator you were about to buy. Putting those on the card lifts you from Php 1,500 to Php 5,000, an extra Php 3,500. This only makes sense for purchases you would make anyway, and only if you pay the full balance on time. Interest and late fees can wipe out any reward quickly.
A single Flexipay purchase can do double duty. A Php 32,000 appliance bought on Flexipay at merchant counts toward Round 1 (Php 300 for most cards, Php 500 for Platinum) and its principal amount also counts toward your main spend. Just make sure the installment is not a SIP Loan via balance conversion, which is excluded.
Finally, think about the claim-once rule. Say you reach Php 30,000 in November and claim the Php 500 reward right away. You then spend another Php 70,000 through January. You would have reached Tier 2 (Php 1,500), but because you already claimed Tier 1, the extra spend earns nothing more on the main side. Unless an eGC is close to expiring, it is usually smarter to wait until your spending is nearly done before claiming.

What mistakes should you avoid?
- Registering late, since spend before your successful registration does not count.
- Skipping the BPI Online account, which you need to access the eGC Hub.
- Claiming a lower tier too early and giving up a higher one.
- Letting an eGC expire because BPI sends no reminders.
- Paying through e-wallets or buying from excluded categories and expecting the spend to count.
- Ignoring your assigned Round 2 category, which can differ from where you usually shop.
- Overspending to chase a tier and then carrying a balance with interest.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the BPI Mastercard Holiday Shop Anywhere promo still open?
Yes. Registration and spending both run from November 6, 2026 to February 8, 2027.
Do I need a promo code to register?
Not if you register through the upgraded Oh My Deals! app. You only need the unique code if you register by SMS.
Do I need a BPI Online account?
Yes. Principal cardholders without a BPI Online account are not eligible to take part, because the eGC Hub is only available through the upgraded app.
Which cards are eligible?
BPI Rewards, Edge, Gold Rewards, Platinum Rewards, and Petron-BPI Mastercard credit cards. The eCredit, Omni, Free+, Signature, Signature Wealth, Amore, Corporate, and Robinsons Cashback cards are not eligible.
Do supplementary card purchases count?
Yes. Qualified transactions by supplementary cardholders on your account are included, but only the principal cardholder can register and redeem.
Do Flexipay purchases count?
Yes, for Flexipay at merchant purchases of Php 3,000 or more on a single receipt. Only the principal amount counts, not the monthly amortizations. SIP Loans such as balance transfer and balance conversion do not count.
I did not get a confirmation after registering by SMS. What should I do?
Wait one hour. If nothing arrives, check that you typed the promo code, format, and recipient number correctly, and make sure your mobile number and email match BPI’s records. You can then try again by SMS or through the app.
Can I turn the eGCs into cash?
No. The eGCs are merchant-specific and for one-time use, so choose merchants you will actually use. A transfer fee applies if you use an eGC on ShopeePay.
Can I give my eGC to someone else?
The redemption code is transferable to a nominated recipient, as long as that person meets the merchant’s requirements for using it.
Where do I take concerns about the promo?
Call the BPI 24-hour Contact Center at (+632) 889-10000. BPI says it will accommodate promo questions within 60 banking days after the promo ends, or by May 7, 2027 at the latest.
Final Thoughts
This year’s Holiday Shop Anywhere promo is easier to reach than last year’s, since the Php 5,000 top tier now starts at Php 200,000 instead of Php 300,000 and the lowest tier starts at Php 30,000. The best results go to cardholders who register early, check their assigned bonus category in the eGC Hub, and avoid claiming a lower tier too soon. The rewards are modest compared with the spend required, so they work best as a bonus on purchases you were going to make anyway, never as a reason to overspend or to carry a balance.
Promo terms can change, so read the official mechanics on BPI’s website before you join. For questions about this article, email support@thedatacode.com.
