Basic Requirements
- Completely filled-out EastWest Credit Card Application Form
- Photocopy of one (1) valid ID with picture and signature
Proof of Income
If employed, submit any of the following:
- Latest BIR Form 2316/ITR
- Certificate of Employment stating breakdown of compensation
- Letter of Appointment/Personnel Action Memo
- Salary Adjustment Memo issued within the latest month
- Latest three (3) Months Payslip
- Latest Service Record for government employees
- Valid Credit Card Reference and Latest Month Statement of Account
If self-employed, submit any of the following:
- Latest BIR Form 1701/ITR
- Latest Audited Financial Statements (if applicable)
- Valid Credit Card Reference and Latest Month Statement of Account
If local resident foreigner, submit any of the following:
- Alien Certificate of Registration with Permanent Status
- Visa issued under Section 9d and 9g of immigration Act of 1940

1. How can I redeem my cash rebate/rewards?
You can redeem your rebates/rewards through:
- ESTA
- By calling their 24/7 customer support at (632) 8888 1700
- By emailing them at cards@eastwestbanker.com
Only the principal cardholder can convert and redeem rewards, and the minimum redeemable amount is ₱500. Be sure to check your rewards balance before initiating the process.
2. What valid IDs are accepted when applying?
EastWest accepts the following government-issued IDs for credit card applications:
- Company ID
- Passport
- Driver’s License
- UMID
- PRC ID
- SSS/GSIS Card
- Postal ID (new version)
- Other government-issued ID with photo and signature
3. Is there a minimum income requirement?
Yes, the minimum gross income requirement is ₱480,000 a year, or around ₱40,000 per month.
If you’re an existing cardholder from another bank, you may qualify through a fast-track application by submitting your latest credit card statement without the need for proof of income.
4. How long does it take to process the application?
Application processing usually takes 10 to 15 banking days, depending on how complete your documents are and if you’re applying through a branch or online. If you’re an existing EastWest client with a good record, approval can be faster.
5. Is the EastWest Gold Mastercard a NAFFL (No Annual Fee For Life) card?
No, EastWest Gold Mastercard comes with an annual fee of ₱2,500 for the principal cardholder and ₱1,250 for the supplementary cardholders.
However, EastWest occasionally offers no annual fee on the first year. You can also call to ask for spend-based or condition-based fee waivers.
6. Can I request a supplementary card?
Yes! You can apply for up to 9 supplementary cards with assigned monthly sub-limits for each card. It’s a great way to manage family budgets or earn more rewards together.
7. Where can I pay or settle my EastWest Gold Mastercard credit card bill?
You can settle your EastWest credit card bill through several convenient channels:
Online & Mobile Banking
- EastWest Online Banking or EastWest Mobile App
- Other Bank Apps (via InstaPay or PESONet using your card number as reference)
Over-the-Counter Payment
- EastWest Bank branches nationwide
- Accredited payment centers like SM Bills Payment, Bayad Center, and select supermarkets
